Islamabad, July 21, 2025 — Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), held a productive meeting with Mr. Muhammad Mushtaq, Advisor (Legislation) at the National Assembly Secretariat, at his official office in Parliament House, Islamabad.
Mr. Mushtaq is a seasoned parliamentary expert with decades of experience in legislative affairs, constitutional matters, and the functioning of democratic institutions. Having previously served as Additional Secretary (Legislation), he is widely regarded as one of the most senior and respected officials in the National Assembly of Pakistan.
During the meeting, Chairman Nawab and Advisor Mushtaq engaged in an insightful discussion on the ongoing Senate elections, the evolving political landscape of the country, and the importance of safeguarding democratic processes. They also exchanged views on the need for inclusive legislation that reflects the aspirations of the youth and marginalized communities of Pakistan.
