Zhengzhou, China – April 19, 2025 —Mr. Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), participated as Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker at the 6th Central Plains Hot Water Heating Industry Exchange Conference 2025, held in Zhengzhou, China from April 18–19.
Joining him was Dr. Mohammad Shahbaz, Vice Chairman of BRISD, along with a delegation of sustainability advocates, youth leaders, and researchers committed to advancing the goals of the Green Belt and Road Initiative (Green BRI).

The prestigious two-day conference brought together over 1,000 participants, including leading engineers, climate experts, business executives, and policymakers from across China—representing nearly 90% of the national thermal and cooling industry. Organized by the China Heating Professional Alliance (CHPA) and partner institutions, the forum served as a critical platform for advancing sustainable heating solutions, carbon-neutral innovation, and green infrastructure development.

In his keynote address, Chairman Nawab praised China’s leadership in climate action and acknowledged the transformative progress being made in modern heating systems. He emphasized the importance of international collaboration, smart energy systems, and inclusive green development aligned with global climate goals.

“This conference is a shining example of visionary action. It’s no longer about heating alone—it’s about doing it intelligently, sustainably, and inclusively,” Nawab stated.“China is not just solving domestic challenges; it is setting global benchmarks for clean energy innovation that developing countries can follow.

”Highlighting China’s integration of AI, IoT, and carbon-reducing technologies, Mr. Nawab emphasized the role of such advancements in uplifting underserved communities, promoting energy equity, and building climate resilience globally.
As Founder of the Silk Road Culture & Innovation Hub, Nawab reiterated BRISD’s commitment to strengthening Belt and Road partnerships and empowering youth to lead in the green transformation.

The conference discussions also contributed to the international momentum leading up to COP30 in Brazil, with Nawab concluding his speech by encouraging global unity to build a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind, where energy is smartly used, sustainably managed, and accessible to all.
