CHAIRMAN
Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), is a dynamic leader driving initiatives to advance sustainable development, foster multilateral collaboration, and promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With a strong commitment to climate action, human rights, and global dignity, Qaiser brings extensive expertise in building international partnerships and implementing strategic communication to address global challenges.
Renowned for his work on multilateralism, he actively engages with prominent platforms such as YOUNGO, SB-60, and COP conferences, where he advocates for inclusive dialogue and transformative solutions. At COP29 in Azerbaijan, he played a pivotal role by emphasizing the potential of AI-driven innovations for enhancing climate resilience and health systems. His forward-thinking approach has reinforced BRISD’s position as a leading organization in advancing sustainable progress across the Belt and Road framework.

PRESIDENT
Dr. Shakeel will bring his visionary leadership to further propel BRISD’s mission in promoting sustainable development through innovation, research, and global partnerships. His experience in internationalization, sustainable governance, and interdisciplinary research positions him to drive transformative progress within the Belt and Road framework, ensuring BRISD’s continued role as a leader in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As Rector of Internationalization, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), and Chief Executive of the Global Strategic Institute for Sustainable Development (GSISD), Dr. Shakeel has spearheaded initiatives in health, sustainability, and governance, strengthening international collaborations and ensuring academic excellence.

VICE CHAIRMAN
Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz, MBBS, MD, PhD, is the President of the China Pakistan Medical Association (CPMA), Founder of the China Pakistan Health Corridor, and Ambassador of Silk Road Friendship, an honor awarded by the Chinese Government in 2020 for his contributions to China-Pakistan medical cooperation. He is also Executive Director of the WHO Foundation for Traditional Medicine, Head of International Cooperation at FDS Consortium, and a Research Fellow at Qilu Hospital.
A pioneer in healthcare collaboration, he founded the JCPMA Journal and completed a fellowship in robotic surgery at IRCAD/IHU Strasbourg, France. Dr. Shahbaz is dedicated to advancing medical education and research, fostering exchanges between Chinese and Pakistani professionals, and championing innovations like telemedicine, AI, and big data in healthcare.At COP29 in Azerbaijan, he highlighted AI-driven solutions for climate resilience and health innovation, further solidifying BRISD’s role as a catalyst for sustainable progress within the Belt and Road framework.

VICE CHAIRMAN EUROPE
Mr. Qiu Xin (Italian name: Stefano Qiu) is a distinguished leader in China-Europe relations, with nearly two decades of residence in Italy and deep integration into European society. He brings extensive experience in fostering cross-cultural dialogue, economic cooperation, and strategic partnerships.

DIRECTOR OF BELT AND ROAD INITIATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Hoodh Ibrahim is a political scientist, lecturer, board director, trustee, and management consultant with more than a decade of experience in high-level government, corporate management, and NGO charitable services. Hoodh has published research for UNESCO, UNDP, and ADB. Hoodh serves as the UNESCO IYF Regional Facilitator for Asia Pacific, the Director of Global Strategic Institute for Sustainable Development, the Director of Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development, and as the Lead Editor for the Journal of Youth, Peace and Security. Hoodh champions values of public diplomacy, international relations, global partnerships, sustainable development, youth participation and ownership in knowledge production processes. Hoodh also oversees conservation and sustainable development as Board Director of Maldives Island Conservation Project, and leads tourism policy innovations as Executive Director of Huvadhoo Association for Tourism.

SENIOR VICE CHAIRMAN(SCIENCE, DIPLOMACY & POLICY INNOVATION)
Dr. Majid Khan, a geoscientist and Associate Professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, is a global advocate for sustainable development and climate action. He serves as Vice President (Education, Science, and Technology) of PCCAI and President of the Industrial Development Committee for CPEC, contributing to policy-making and scientific collaboration.
A member of leading scientific societies like SEG and AGU, Dr. Khan has published extensively and led numerous research projects. He is widely recognized for mentoring talent, bridging academia with industry, and sharing insights on climate and science through prominent media platforms like CGTN and PTV Live.
