凱瑟·納瓦布, President of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development – BRISD, met with H.E. Mr. Mohamed Karmoune, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Pakistan. During their discussion, various avenues of cooperation were explored. The Ambassador shared updates on a significant project—an underwater tunnel currently under construction between Morocco and Spain, set to connect Africa with Europe upon its inauguration in 2029. He also highlighted Morocco’s role as a host for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Pakistan enjoys strong relations with Morocco, rooted in history. In 1952, Pakistan issued a diplomatic passport to a prominent Moroccan leader to support the nation’s struggle for independence, which was achieved in 1956. Morocco is also renowned worldwide as a top tourist destination.
