Chairman BRISD Qaiser Nawab Meets Senior Chinese Experts to Strengthen China-Pakistan and Belt and Road Business Cooperation

Beijing, China – Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), Mr. Qaiser Nawab, held a fruitful meeting with Prof. Zhou Rong, Senior Fellow at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China, and Mr. Roy, Chairman of China Shield Consulting Services.

The meeting focused on enhancing China–Pakistan business cooperation and identifying practical ways to expand partnerships across Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries. Key areas of discussion included trade facilitation, joint ventures, private sector engagement, and innovation-driven growth.

Prof. Zhou Rong is a highly respected expert in international affairs, regional security, and global economic policy. With extensive experience in the internationalization of Chinese businesses, his strategic insights provided valuable guidance on strengthening economic connectivity under the BRI framework.

Mr. Roy, a seasoned entrepreneur and long-standing friend of Pakistan, shared his experience in managing diverse business ventures and highlighted the potential for greater collaboration between Chinese enterprises and partners in BRI countries.

Chairman Qaiser Nawab appreciated the commitment of both Prof. Zhou and Mr. Roy towards building stronger economic ties, especially through people-to-people, business-to-business, and knowledge-to-policy cooperation.

This engagement marks another important step in BRISD’s efforts to promote inclusive development, sustainable trade, and economic diplomacy among BRI partners, especially in South Asia.
