BRISD主席凯瑟·纳瓦布出席罗马尼亚国庆庆祝活动

Islamabad, December 11, 2024 – Qaiser Nawab, President of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development – BRISD, joined the Romania National Day celebrations held at the Embassy of Romania in Islamabad. The event was hosted by H.E. Mr. Dan Stoenescu, the newly appointed Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, who extended a warm welcome to Mr. Nawab and other distinguished guests.

Speaking at the occasion, H.E. Mr. Stoenescu highlighted the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and Romania, emphasizing their close alliance and fruitful collaboration in various sectors. He also shared his personal journey of learning Urdu to deepen his understanding of Pakistani culture and foster stronger ties between the two nations.

This year marks 60 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Romania, a milestone that underscores the strength of our partnership. “From shipbuilding to technological cooperation, Romania has been a valuable partner for Pakistan. As an emerging economy in the European Union, Romania holds immense potential to further enhance bilateral trade and investment opportunities.”

Romania, recognized as a key player in the EU, has steadily advanced its role in global markets through innovation and sustainable economic practices. Both countries are working towards bolstering collaboration in areas such as renewable energy, education, and cultural exchange, reflecting shared aspirations for growth and prosperity.
