Guangzhou, June, 2025 \u2014 In a meaningful gesture of international cooperation, Professor Li Zhenwei, one of China\u2019s most prominent logistics experts and Vice President of the China Logistics Planning Institute, hosted Mr. Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), for a high-level breakfast meeting in Guangzhou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Often referred to as \u201cthe first person in China\u2019s logistics planning,\u201d Prof. Li holds multiple key positions including Director at Guangzhou University\u2019s Design Institute, CEO of Guangzhou Lidongwei Logistics Planning Institute, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Logistics Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting brought together a select group of Chinese entrepreneurs with active investments across Belt and Road countries. Discussions centered on strengthening trade ties, building joint infrastructure projects, and developing sustainable cross-border logistics and supply chains, with BRISD acting as a key facilitator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman Nawab gifted Prof. Li with a symbolic book of Silk Road stamps featuring Mr. Wang Xiangrong, BRISD\u2019s Ambassador for the Silk Road, as a cultural token celebrating shared values and cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This engagement aligns with Guangzhou\u2019s increasing role in international trade, having exceeded \u00a5350 billion in imports and exports with Belt and Road countries in 2024 alone, and highlights the city\u2019s leadership in fostering economic integration, regional dialogue, and people-to-people bonds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
