Qaiser Nawab, Chairman of Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development, addressed an academic webinar organized by the Department of International Relations at Fatima Jinnah Women University titled: \u201c75 Years of Pakistan-China Friendship: Connectivity, Cooperation, and Shared Futures\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The webinar commemorated the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China and brought together scholars, students, researchers, and members of academia to discuss regional connectivity, sustainability, cooperation, and shared development pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his keynote remarks, Qaiser Nawab highlighted the historic and strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, emphasizing the importance of sustainable development, environmental cooperation, and people-to-people connectivity under the framework of China\u2013Pakistan Economic Corridor and the Belt and Road Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the topic, \u201cBelt, Road, and Blue Skies: Pakistan\u2013China Cooperation on Environmental Sustainability,\u201d<\/strong> he noted that the future of Pakistan\u2013China cooperation should focus not only on infrastructure and economic growth, but also on climate resilience, renewable energy, green innovation, ecological protection, and sustainable urban development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qaiser Nawab also shared his personal experiences of traveling extensively across China and visiting various provinces, cities, universities, and innovation centers. He appreciated China\u2019s remarkable progress in green development, clean transportation, environmental planning, and technological innovation, stating that these experiences strengthened his belief that economic growth and environmental sustainability can move forward together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further stressed the important role of youth, academia, and civil society in strengthening Pakistan\u2013China relations and promoting collaborative research on climate change, biodiversity, clean energy, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The webinar served as an important platform for intellectual exchange and reaffirmed the enduring friendship and strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of International Relations at Fatima Jinnah Women University appreciated the participation of distinguished speakers and attendees and reiterated its commitment to promoting academic dialogue on international cooperation and regional sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
