High-Level Meeting in Beijing Focuses on Strengthening Pakistan-China Collaboration in Sustainable Development, Health, and Education.

Beijing, 07 January 2025– A pivotal meeting was convened in Beijing to discuss avenues for strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and China under the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) framework. The meeting brought together Qaiser Nawab, President of the Belt & Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD); Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz, Vice Chairman of the Pakistan-China Commerce Alliance International (PCCAI) for Health; and Majid Khan, PCCAI Vice Chairman for Education.

The discussions centered on fostering partnerships in key areas such as research, diplomacy, health innovation, and sustainable development. Leaders underscored the importance of leveraging the Belt & Road framework to create mutually beneficial opportunities in healthcare, environmental sustainability, and strategic regional partnerships.

“This meeting marks a significant step towards enhancing collaboration between Pakistan and China,” stated Qaiser Nawab. “Through innovation and a shared commitment to sustainable development, we aim to create impactful initiatives that benefit both nations and the region as a whole.”

Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz highlighted the critical role of healthcare advancements and environmental initiatives in strengthening bilateral ties, while Majid Khan emphasized the need for educational collaboration to support long-term growth and innovation.

The meeting concluded with a shared vision of bolstering ties between Pakistan and China by exploring joint initiatives aligned with sustainable development goals and regional cooperation under the Belt & Road framework.
